Here’s the reason why Ellen Adarna wants to settle down with Derek Ramsay
Actress Ellen Adarna was asked what made her so sure that it is Derek Ramsay and not her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.
Ellen and John Lloyd‘s relationship created a loud buzz in showbiz, perhaps louder than the romance that the actress now shares with her husband-to-be. From being together in the defunct Kapamilya sitcom Home Sweetie Home, the former couple journeyed together in their private world outside of the glitz and glamour of showbiz.
They were blessed with a son who they named Elias Modesto, however, their relationship stopped blooming until they officially ended it.
Then came 2021 and opened a new chapter for Ellen’s love life. In an interview with G3 San Diego on Instagram, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Ellen Adarna was asked this question: “What were you sure about with Derek that you weren’t sure about with John Lloyd?”
The answer of the actress was it is all about the connection. “It’s the communication. And he [Derek] met me at the right time. He met me during the pandemic. I fixed myself, I worked on myself, I did a lot of inner work, so at that time [that we met], I knew what I wanted na. I knew what was good for me, I knew what was bad for me. And when I made better choices for myself, that’s when things just started to come in and everything just made sense,” she explained.
Ellen Adarna highly attributed the success of her relationship with Derek Ramsay to the right timing. She is now good at the communication aspect between the couple which she was not able to do in her previous relationships.
The actress revealed that in the past, she would not communicate and just shut down. Ellen also said that being alone does not make her feel sad. She is already even being single, a single mother to her son. However, a bonus even came for her.
“I was content and happy without him [Derek]. I didn’t have that desperate vibe of trying to look for love, looking for a guy to complete me. I was already complete. And then when Derek came, he just made it better, more beautiful,” Ellen said.
