UNKNOWN ILLNESS IN INDIA – Amid the coronavirus pandemic, India now has to deal with a mystery disease that killed one and hospitalized hundreds more.

Among the symptoms of this new unknown illness are seizures, nausea, or suddenly losing consciousness causing people to drop on the floor. According to an article from GMA, the mystery disease struck Southern India.

Meanwhile, government and health authorities in the Southern State of Andhra Pradesh reported that more than 200 people were released. Furthermore, tests had already revealed that the cause for the illness was not COVID-19. Additionally, further serological tests are ongoing.

As per the article, the state government said: “The causes of the outbreak are not known yet”. Moreover, the government added that age isn’t a major factor as people from all age-groups appeared prone to the mystery illness.

Aside from this, India’s federal health ministry stated that it would send a team of three medical experts to probe the viral outbreak. Unfortunately, more than 300 children were infected with this disease.

“The children reportedly suffered from dizziness, fainting spells, headache, and vomiting“, said the ministry. Afterward, health authorities were alerted when a 45-year-old man died due to the mystery illness.
