Angkas Instructs Commuters to Buy Own Helmet
The country’s top motorcycle-hailing apps Angkas advised the commuters to buy their own helmet as the government allowed the resumption of their operations.
The National government announced that they would allow the resumption of operations of motorcycle taxis including the popular ride-hailing service “Angkas”. However, the government set conditions for motorcycle taxis.
The motorcycle-hailing company encourages the commuters to purchase their own protective equipment such as a crash helmet. It was an additional preventive measure against the coronavirus disease.
The company said that passengers could buy full-face, quarter-face, modular, and other types of helmet with their partner stores. The price of helmets ranges from P760 to P2, 636 per item varying on type and brand.
Interest customers could avail discounts when buying helmets through Angkas Pabili. The firm also warned the public not to buy nutshell, half-face, and other types of helmets with no visor, straps, locks, and ICC stickers.
Angkas chief transport advocate George Royeca explained that the company just wanted to ensure the safety of their valued customers especially during this time of pandemic.
