Kapuso host Willie Revillame will help displaced jeepney drivers due to pandemic.
WILLIE REVILLAME – GMA artist and “Wowowin” host Willie Revillame will personally give cash aid to displaced jeepney drivers due to pandemic.
Based on a previous article, as the lockdown in the country started due to pandemic in order to curb the spread of the deadly disease, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said that millions of people got displaced. This is one of the most painful implications of being in lockdown.
And among the most affected are jeepney drivers. With the worst effect of pandemic to them, Willie Revillame, being the “Santa Claus” of anyone of those who need help in anytime of the month, went to rescue the displaced drivers and vowed to give them cash aid.
Now, not receiving the help from the host yet, the drivers already expressed their gratitude to him. He announced in his show as per PEP, “Sa ating mga dakilang tsuper, drivers—next week, makukuha niyo na ho yung paghahati-hatian niyo na ibinigay ko. Makukuha na nila, e, di lahat masaya.”
He even added to talk to LTFRB and their lawyers about the matter. Accordingly, he will personally give them the cash aid from him and aside from the money, he will also give out 2,000 Wowowin jackets.
To recall, Revillame also gave Php 100,000.00 to families of OFWs who died in the fatal explosion in Beirut, Lebanon which happened last August 4, 2020. Based on an update, the country has now recorded 153,660 positive cases and 21,036,943 worldwide.
