Over 100 UP Residents, Workers Contract COVID-19 In Diliman Campus
UP RESIDENTS CONTRACT COVID-19 – The University of the Philippines Diliman reported over 100 residents, workers, had contracted the coronavirus.

In their official Twitter account, UP Diliman stated:
Kinukumpirma ng UPD COVID-19 Task Force na base sa ulat ng UPHS Public Health Unit kahapon Hul. 28, ang UPD ay mayroong 118 kaso ng COVID-19 na binubuo ng mga residente ng UP Campus at mga kawani ng UPD na hindi residente ng Barangay UP Campus.
(UPD COVID-19 Task Force confirms that based on the report of the UPHS Public Health Unit yesterday, July 28, the UPD had 118 cases of COVID-19 comprised of residents of the UP Campus and non-Barangay UP Campus residents)
Following this, the university emphasized that workers and campus residents should continue to observe health protocols. Furthermore, employees were urged not to report to work if they feel sick.
“However, if within the work premises an employee gets ill, he or she must be immediately isolated and reported to the UP Health Service (UPHS) for pick up“.
Additionally, workers were instructed to fill out health declaration forms. Afterward, health liaison officers would check and report the findings to UPHS. Moreover, priority and importance would be given to those with symptoms of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the UPHS said they would continue to survey the health situation of the Barangay and Campus. In addition, the UPHS said they would closely coordinate with the Quezon City epidemiology and surveillance unit.
