SONA 2020: Speech of Mae Paner For ‘SONAgKAISA’ Rally
SONA 2020 – Here’s the video of Mae Paner a.k.a. Juana Change giving a speech at ‘SONAgKAISA’ rally.
Thousands of protesters gathered at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman on Monday, July 27 ahead of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA). The Philippine National Police (PNP) earlier warned that they will arrest demonstrators during SONA.
Only the protesters on UP will be safe from the arrest as the president gives his speech at the Batasang Pambansa. Several organizations joined the ‘SONAgKAISA’ rally.
In a report, retrenched Kapamilya employees led by broadcast journalist Ces Drilon also joined the rally. She finally speaks up about the tv networks’ shutdown. Her speech elicited reactions from the online community.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN, local artist and activist Mae Paner, also known as Juana Change, channeled her inner Harry Roque – complete with dolphins and swimming attire at the ‘SONAgKAISA’ rally. She’s among the protesters who gave a speech at the rally. She spoke sarcastically about Roque and President Duterte.
In a previous article, Paner channeled Metro Manila Police Chief Debold Sinas look for the Grand Mañanita protest at UP Diliman. The term Mañanita was popularized by Sinas who argued that his birthday was not a party but a “mañanita.”
