Content Creator Shares His Inspiring Story Before Becoming a Businessman
A content creator shared his inspiring story of starting as a dishwasher and eventually becoming a successful businessman.
Recently, Zac Alvis, a Facebook user, shared his journey from working as a dishwasher to becoming a successful businessman. The post quickly circulates online and elicited reactions online.
Back in August 2014, Alvis had just started his first job in Sydney, Australia, as a kitchen hand. At the time, he was an international student juggling studies and part-time work. For a week of washing dishes, he earned $315 AUD, which was equivalent to around P12,600 in 2014, a huge amount compared to wages in the Philippines.

However, Zac struggled emotionally, questioning his path. He graduated from a prestigious university in the Philippines, made it to the Dean’s List, and had a lot of pride in his academic achievements. But there he was, scrubbing plates in a foreign kitchen.
Despite the initial challenges, Alvis changed his mindset. He viewed his job as a stepping stone and took the advice of his boss to aim for his true passions in photography and multimedia. Over time, Zac’s hard work paid off.
By staying focused on his goals, he not only earned a stable income but also began investing in his future.

Fast forward to today, Zac owns a house in Sydney and manages multiple businesses and investments that align with his passions. He has also supported his siblings’ education, helped his parents retire, and established businesses and properties in the Philippines.
Zac advised anyone facing similar struggles to stay focused, avoid unnecessary distractions, and remember that success is a process. Life has its ups and downs, but with persistence, humility, and faith, better days always lie ahead.
