ABS-CBN FRANCHISE RENEWAL – Here are the reaction of several Kapuso stars and personalities over denied franchise renewal of ABS-CBN.
Many people have expressed their sadness and being heartbroken upon hearing the 70-11 voting result over the franchise renewal application of the biggest media network in the country. 70 lawmakers said “Yes” to junk the renewal bid while 11 said “No” to the said resolution denying them of their renewal.
The landslide votes ultimately “killed” the network and several personalities from the Kapuso network has reacted to this. GMA network is the greatest rival of ABS-CBN but being in the same field and industry, the rival expressed sympathy and shared sadness with everyone who got affected.

Currently, this is the biggest blow against the news media, to be shut down officially. This is after President Rodrigo Duterte warned and threatened them that he will do anything in his power for them not to air again. The network has been critical of the current administration.
And after 13 hearings, a committee of the House of Representatives to which most of whose members are allied with the president, voted to deny their application with an overwhelming majority of votes rejecting it.
