Netizen Say Piolo Pascual, Joyce Bernal Were Asked To Leave Sagada
PIOLO PASCUAL – A netizen said Piolo Pascual, Joyce Bernal, and friends went to Sagada to shoot for the background for President Rodrigo Duterte’s SONA but they were asked to leave.
In a previous article, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) will have alternative ways due to COVID-19 pandemic. “That is being discussed. I think kung mayroon tayong blended learning, we will also have a blended SONA,” he said.
The SONA of the chief executive of the country is a “constitutional obligation and yearly tradition. The president reports the country’s status and his plans for the country.
Film director Joyce Bernal directed President Duterte’s SONA in 2018 and 2019. She provided free service in the 3rd SONA of the Davaoeño president. The prominent director has been tapped anew to direct his 5th SONA.

On Monday, July 6, a Twitter user named Mia Magdalena shared that Direk Joyce Bernal, Piolo Pascual, and friends went to Sagada recently but the local government units asked them to leave.
The netizen said the purpose of their visit was to shoot for background views for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s upcoming SONA.
“So, Piolo Pascual and friends went to Sagada but were asked to leave. Rightly so. It was Piolo, Director Joyce Bernal, and his team including PNP/military escorts.”
“Purpose: to shoot background views for D30 SONA,” the netizen wrote.
The netizen shared screenshots of the statements of Sagada Rural Health Unit and Sagada Municipality in her follow up Tweet. She also shared a photo of Joyce Bernal having a meeting with officials at Sagada Emergency Operations Center.
