Here’s Video of PH Navy Transporting 405 Stranded Individuals To Iloilo
PH NAVY – Watch the video of Philippine Navy transporting the four hundred five stranded individuals to Iloilo.
Due to the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, several port in the Philippines imposed various restrictions to reduce the virus cases in the country. The government and health officials advised all citizens to stay in their homes until there’s no vaccine.
In a previous article, a video of locally stranded individuals (LSI) in Tabuelan Port, Cebu went viral on social media. The LSIs were seen sleeping on cardboard mats. They plead to their mayors to help them get home.
Vice President Leni Robredo urged the government to act to help the Filipinos who are stranded in Metro Manila. Presidential spokesman Harry Roque advised Robredo to offer solutions rather than criticizing the government.
Based on a report from Inquirer, the Philippine Navy transported 405 stranded individuals in Metro Manila on Monday, June 22. The vessel will ferry them to the Iloilo province.
The PH Navy ship, BRP Davao del Sur, also delivers medical supplies and 2,000 boxes of protective gear to Cebu. Three of the locally stranded individuals were repatriated from Sri Lanka and India.
According to the report, the 405 stranded individuals will only be allowed to get off at the Port of Iloilo since the Cebu government currently bans entry of people. There were originally four hundred fifty individuals listed for the trip, but some of them tested positive for coronavirus.
