GCQ Guidelines As Metro Manila Shifts To It Starting June 1

Here are some GCQ guidelines to take note of as Metro Manila will be under this starting June 1.

GCQ GUIDELINES – Metro Manila will finally shift to general community quarantine starting June 1 and here are some guidelines to adhere.

After 2 months being under strict lock down due to quick increase in terms of confirmed coronavirus cases, Metro Manila will finally be put under relaxed community quarantine starting June 1. And under general community quarantine, some of the movements were loosened provided that people will still follow the imposed rules for the safety of everyone.

And now, as Metro Manila along with Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Pangasinan, Albay, and Davao City will be under GCQ, people have to adhere and take note of the following:

  • All resident must observe minimum public health standards at all times.
  • Persons aging below 21 and 60 above are not allowed to go out including those who have immunodeficiency, comorbidities, or other health risks, and pregnant women unless they have to go out for essential goods and services or employed in industries which have been allowed to operate.
  • Government offices will be in full capacity in terms of operation.
  • Industries that can operate again are the the following
    • at full capacity: Power, energy, water, utilities, agriculture, fishery and forestry industries, food manufacturing and food supply chain businesses, food retail establishments such as supermarkets, food preparation establishments limited to take-out and delivery services, health-related establishments, logistics, information technology and telecommunications, and the media
    • from 50 percent to full capacity: Mining and other manufacturing, electronic commerce, delivery, repair and maintenance, and housing and office services
    • at 50 percent capacity: Financial services, legal and accounting, auditing services, professional services, scientific services, technical services, non-leisure services, non-leisure wholesale and retail, barbershops, salons, and other personal care establishments, and dine-in services in food retail establishments
  • Road, rail, maritime, and aviation in reduced capacity and 1-meter physical distancing in public transport. Private transportation is allowed and using of bikes is highly suggested.
  • Mass gatherings are not allowed except for religious purposes limited to 10 people only.
  • Non-contact activities like walking, jogging, running, or biking is allowed as long as they wear mask and observe physical distancing.
  • All public and private construction projects can operate again and safety measures must be observed as per ABS-CBN report.
