Gen. Debold Sinas birthday party controversy, official insists following protocols.
SINAS BIRTHDAY PARTY – National Capital Region Police Office(NCRPO) chief Major Gen. Debold Sinas insisted following protocols in his party.
Several photos taken during the surprise birthday of National Capital Region Police Office(NCRPO) chief Major Gen. Debold Sinas along with other law enforcers surfaced online and sparked controversy. This is amid the strict prohibition of mass gathering during this public health crisis.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Archie Gamboa defended the NCRPO chief believing that there was no party that happened and being told they followed the protocol of social distancing, he saw no violation of the rules. This happened last May 8, Friday.
For his side, Sinas expressed through an official statement after those photos drew backlash, “Some of the pictures circulating in the social media were edited and grabbed from old posts. The pictures may depict itself however it does not define the totality of what really had happened.”
Now, in a report from Inquirer, her insisted that they have not made any violations for they followed physical distancing. Also, other health protocols and other safety measures were observed. But then, he will leave the assessment of the situation to the investigators. He is also confident that his men can defend themselves.
He also defended one NCRPO Public Information Office (PIO) member indicating that the sharing of photo meant no harm. Accordingly, the one who posted was just elated and has no malicious intention in doing it.
He added based on the report, “Nakita naman niya na nag-o-observe ng social distancing at natuwa lang siya na makapanood ng mañanita na ginawa niya sakin. Mga tauhan ko po yun. Whatever happens, I stand with them.”
