Bongbong Marcos gets tested for COVID-19
Former Senator Bongbong Marcos had himself tested for COVID-19 after “feeling unwell” following his trip from Spain.
Senator Imee Marcos, the sister of the former Senator, confirmed this. Based on the report from ABS-CBN, there had been talks surfaced on Wednesday evening that he was being intubated in a Taguig hospital due to pneumonia. This came after an alleged diagnosis was leaked.
In a text message that Sen. Imee sent to the ABS-CBN News, he said that her brother came back from Spain feeling unwell but he is getting better at home. “Finally got a test 2 nights ago… wala pang result,” the female politician added.
Based on the report, a staff of the Marcos family was also asked about the condition of Bongbong Marcos. “Nasa bahay lang po [si Bongbong]. Siyempre, senior na din kaya di naman naglalabas. Same with SIM (Sen. Imee Marcos),” the staff shared.
Meanwhile, Senator Imee denied that they will be bringing their brother to Singapore for treatment. “Nah, my mom and I are okay,” the lawmaker said.
Based on the report, the daughter of the late President Ferdinand Marcos also got tested for COVID-19 with other senators. However, the result of her test is not out yet.
Meanwhile, two senators are already confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus disease 2019. Senator Migz Zubiri confirmed that his result was positive last March 16. On the other hand, when Senator Koko Pimentel confirmed that he tested positive controversy arose as he was accused of breaking the quarantine protocol.
His wife who is pregnant is also in isolation right now, based on a previous report.
