PNB Employee Confirmed Infected by Coronavirus Disease

The Philippine National Bank (PNB) confirmed that one of their employees in Pasay City has tested positive for coronavirus disease.

On Tuesday (March 24, 2020), the Lucio Tan-led lender released a statement in an advisory saying that one of their workers at the PNB Financial Center in Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City has been infected by COVID-19.

The bank said that the employee did not show any signs or symptoms of coronavirus. However, the worker voluntarily observed self-quarantine since March 11, 2020. The company is supporting the worker and its family.

“The Philippine National Bank confirms that one of our employees at the PNB Financial Center in Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City had a confirmation yesterday, March 23, 2020, as positive for COVID-19,” PNB said.

PNB is already working with the authorities of Pasay City together with the Department of Health to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The bank also asked the people identified who had direct contact with the worker to observe self-quarantine.

The giant banking company has Business Continuity Plan and they are ready for the coronavirus outbreak. The firm could also consider the needs of their workers, stakeholders, and clients.
