PH4 Patient Comes Out, Shares Story Of Struggles Versus Coronavirus Disease

Recovered PH4 patient shares his story battling the deadly virus.

PH4 PATIENT – Among the first confirmed cases in the country, PH4 patient, comes out after recovery and share his story on how he overcome COVID-19.

He beat the deadly and highly contagious Coronavirus Disease 2019 also called as COVID-19. He is PH4 Carlo Llanes Navarro and he is the fourth confirmed case of the country and also among the first one to recover from the disease to which, according to him, the whole experience was an absolute nightmare.

Accordingly, he and his family were from Japan and at that time, there were yet no strict rules about travelling. On his post, he guessed that he probably got the disease in an airplane where he was able to encounter with an old man who coughs frequently just near him.

He is one of the emoloyees in Deloitte at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City and 7 days after, he experienced some symptoms such as fever and chills while being confined at Saint Luke’s Global City and later on transferred to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City.

Moreover, aside from chills and low-grade fever, he also suffered muscle pain. He decided to get medical attention, insisted to be tested, and been honest the whole time about his condition. His entire household got tested and fortunately, they all tested negative including his driver. More physical pain, the disease attacked him psychologically.

“For two weeks in the hospital, it was not the physical pain that is frightening! It was the psychological effect that made it difficult. I was vomiting endlessly and had diarrhea probably due to stress,” he said. And realized then that ignorance and inaction can make the virus to spread faster.
