NECISTO SYTENGCO – SBS Philippines Corporation founder and chairman Necisto Sytengco died at 65 the company announced on March 18.

SBS Philippines Corporation founder and chairman Necisto Sytengco died at 65 years old. This announcement had been made by the company on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. He founded the conglomerate in the 1970s and served as president of SBS from its incorporation in 2001 until 2016 and as its chairman from March 2015 until his death.

The SBS Philippines Corporation is a chemical trading business. And today, according to Forbes, it sources and markets raw materials and ingredients for food, feed, agriculture and pharmaceutical industries, among others. But it started in importing and wholesale trade of electronics spare parts and chemicals.

His company’s products are supplied to the industries of food, feeds, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, mining, pyrotechnics, water treatment, and others throughout the Philippines. In Philippines 50 Richest 2019 list, he is the 39th richest and had a net worth of $210 million or approximately Php 10,840,305,000.00. He graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology.

He was named as Entrepreneur of the Year for 2018 by Enterprise Asia, which is a regional non-governmental organization that promotes entrepreneurship. This is a part of Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) that aims to honor outstanding business leaders.

“After years of hard work, dedication to the company that I am working for, finally we are able to be recognized as one of the most prominent (companies in the country),” he even said previously based on Esquire.
