Actor-turned-politician Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso is the current mayor of the city of Manila. The city has changed a lot since he took the office in July 2019. He aims to change the city and make the streets safe for its people and tourists.
Last year, he declared that Manila will become the richest city in the National Capital Region (NCR) in three (3) years. He encourages the businessmen in the country to start investing in his city.
Among the changes, Isko Moreno renovated the historic Jones Bridge. Now, the famous bridge once again shines brightly.
The 45-year-old politician revealed in November last year that he will put a beautiful fountain with lights at the Liwasang Bonifacio the cost P40 million. He was spotted dancing cha-cha in front of the fountain.
Based on a report from the Manila Bulletin, the renovation of Liwasang Bonifacio is finished. On Wednesday, the city government of Manila inaugurates the Musical Dancing Fountain.
Residents and visitors who want to see free light show can just sit down on the grassy area that surrounds the monument. The musical dancing fountain is scheduled every night from 6:30 to 11:30 in the evening.
According to the report, the latest attraction is part of Isko Moreno’s mission to revive tourism in the city. During his speech, he recalled how it looked like seven (7) months ago. He said Bonifacio Monument was surrounded by human feces and urine.
“Ganyan po nababoy ang lugar na ito. At ang lugar na ito ay pagmamay-ari ninyo, pagmamay-ari ng mamamayan. Unti-unti, sa awa ng Diyos at sa tulong ninyo, Manila will be vibrant again,” he said.
