Mayor Isko Moreno Video w/ Vendor Begging Him Not To Confiscate Items

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno under fire due to this video.

MAYOR ISKO MORENO – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno video with a vendor begging him not to confiscate her items went viral online.

On Wedenesday, despite Manila’s zero obstruction policy for Nazareno 2020, vendors remained even hours before the procession begins at Plaza Miranda. Vendor and parked vehicles were banned and this announcement was announced earlier of this week.

Ahead of the biggest religious procession, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno arrived to check and to only find out makeshift stalls and products sold along Plaza Miranda along with several motorcycles and parked vehicles. And a video of the politician was uploaded online where a vendor was begging him not to confiscate her items because she needs it to buy medicines.

The woman was begging but in a firm stance, the Manila mayor remained as if unbreakable for the rules and policies which was given out and this has caught social media attention.

See some reactions of the netizens to this video from Twitter as it is trending as of this posting:

the woman is LITERALLY BEGGING INFRONT OF HIM AND ALL OF THESE MEDIA and yet isko chooses to show how anti-poor he is

All I see (or at least those publicized) are clean up operations but nothing on where these displaced people go or what the govt has done to help replace what was taken away.

In a report from ABS-CBN, Moreno actually bought Php 3,000.00 each to 2 rice cake vendors from Cainta and another Php 2,000.00 to a boy and his mother who are selling sampaguita beside the Quiapo Church. He told the reporters, “Nasuwertehan lang nila yun (They were just lucky). Bilang pagpapakita rin na ang pamahalaan ay may puso, pinipilit natin silang unawain. Kaya lang, hindi naman araw-araw Pasko.”
