Class Cancellation Declared In These Areas on Wednesday (January 22)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class cancellation in some areas due to the ongoing Taal’s activity.
Last week, Taal Volcano has been one of the most discussed topics online after its devastating eruption that causes damage to numerous establishments and properties. The volcano eruption also displaced thousands of residents in the affected areas.
Taal belches massive amounts of ashes, small stones, and volcanic elements that could cause several health diseases. Affected residents are temporarily taking shelters at evacuation centers in Batangas, Cavite, and Tagaytay.
The volcano continues to emit an average amount of 500-600 meters tall ash plumes and sulfur dioxide. Taal’s activity prompted several schools and local government units to suspend the classes.
On Wednesday (January 22, 2020), several local government units announced the suspension of classes in some areas due to the ongoing eruption of Taal Volcano. The announcement covers several schools, colleges, and universities in the covered areas.
