Elderly Woman Who Sells Rags to Support Her Grandchildren Goes Viral
An 89-year-old elderly woman sells rags to support her grandchildren despite old age and weak condition went viral on social media.
A Facebook post became viral on social media about an old woman because instead of having break and enjoy life as an senior citizen she still sells rags in the street to support her grandchildren.
Recently, a Facebook user named “Kathrina” shares some photos and an amazing story on an 89-year-old elderly woman who sells rags beside the street. It can be seen on the photos that an elderly woman sitting on a chair selling rags on the side of the road at Hari Commerce ave, Alabang.
According to the post, Lola Ibyang still works for a living despite small profit just to support her grandchildren that depends on her. She added that they had known Lola Ibyang for five years in selling rags.
“Please, if you happen to pass by her spot along Daang Hari SB just a few meters past the T-intersection of Commerce Ave., from 2pm to 5pm, stop and buy a pack of basahan from her for 100 pesos. 20 pesos lang her profit per pack, the rest goes to her supplier,” she said on her post.
Her Facebook post has gone viral as many netizens were touch by the story of the elderly woman. Some of them said that they will give some help when they see Lola Ibyang on the road even the famous “Hungry Syrian Wanderer”.
