Ogie Diaz Shares Shares Lengthy Post About Controversial Restroom Issue

OGIE DIAZ – Comedian actor and talent manager Ogie Diaz shared his thoughts and opinions about the controversial bathroom issue.

Lots of people including the politicians and celebrities have spoken up regarding the controversial restroom issue of Gretchen Diez. The transwoman who was ‘discriminated’ is a ladies restroom in a mall in Quezon City received supports from Senators Bong Go, Risa Hontiveros, and Imee Marcos.

However, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III opposes Riza Hontiveros’ SOGIE bill or ‘Anti-discrimination’ bill. He said the bill has “no chance” of passing the upper chamber.

Recently, Tito Sotto explained why the transgender women will never be treated like women. “Women cannot be compared to a group like that because, I hate to say this but I have to, If you are a man, you will never be a woman, no matter what you do, because you cannot reproduce. You cannot give birth, you do not have ovaries,” he said.

On Thursday, Ogie Diaz gave his honest opinion about the restroom issue in the country since it’s been all over the social media these days. The talent manager peened a lengthy post on his Facebook account.

Ogie Diaz discussed the ongoing issue about the public comfort rooms and the LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) community. He said the LGBTQ+ members should be free to use which toilet they are comfortable to use as long as they respect other users.

He also said that the members of the LGBTQ+ community should stop asking for a 3rd restroom. Learning to respect inside the restroom is better than having a specific bathroom for themselves.
