Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, Iceland previously submitted a resolution to the United Nations (UN) to investigate the “drug war” in the Philippines.

According to the report, PACC commissioner clarified on his recent interview at ANC’s Early Edition that he was just warning Robredo.

“It’s a warning so she can also think it over, that she has to temper her statements. Although I respect her, she’s a politician, she’s a lawyer like me but she has to temper her statements…”

“Do not embarrass our government internationally. You can always ventilate matters within and we can debate all day, all night without accusing our government of wrongdoings without substantial basis,” he added.

Based on the report, PACC commissioner said Leni Robredo’s statement regarding the resolution was a “betrayal of public trust.”

“I cannot sit idly by while our Vice President is lambasting our government, taking a position different from our President and says that it’s okay and making it appear that the government is into human rights abuses. That’s some bullshit. Excuse me for my words,” said Luna.

Meanwhile, Iceland’s resolution was only criticized by President Duterte. The 74-year-old chief executive said their nation does not understand the problems in the Philippines.
