Dingdong Dantes slams former NYC chairperson.
DINGDONG DANTES – The Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes slammed former National Youth Commission (NYC ) chairperson Ronald Cardema.
Malacanang considered National Youth Commission (NYC) chairperson Ronald Cardema to vacate his post after asking to replace the his wife as first nominee of the Duterte Youth party-list for the midterm elections to which the Commission on Election’s (Comelec) confirmed along his petition for substitution indicating that he has already resigned from his post.
With this, vocal as always about his stand in terms of issues may it be about the society and politics, Dingdong Dantes lambasted him for taking advantage of his post and for using his power while in the post.
In a Facebook post, the actor lamented, “Clearly, if the petition will be granted, parang na-railroad ang democratic process of choosing the rightful representative. I think we all agree that the young people should never—ever— be disenfranchised, especially in governance. But with the country’s Youth Chief getting into this? Teka lang.”
Dantes even asked the new set of lawmakers to “look into the party-list system”. He said, “Sa ating mga bagong mambabatas, please look into the Party-List system. Ipagtanggol at palakasin po sana niyo ang mekanismong nagbibigay espasyo sa mga sektor na marinig ang kanilang mga boses. Wag niyo po sana hayaang masalaula ito ng mga taong uhaw o nalulunod sa kapangyarihan.”
He also stressed in his post that if Caderma really wanted to help and serve the youth, he already was in the best position to do so.
“At sa’yo Mr. Cardema, if you really want to serve the young people, you are already in the best position to do so,” he furthered.
