Senatorial candidate Mar Roxas and wife Rated K host Korina Sanchez shared a few details about the surrogate mother of the Roxas twins.
The couple is so happy to finally have Pepe and Pilar in their lives. They had been waiting for so long for their “miracle” to come.
Now that the twins are in their lives, Mar and Korina are also happy that many people express love for their babies.
The couple is also indulgent in sharing a few details about the woman who carried Pepe and Pilar in her womb.
Based on a report from PEP, Mar said that the surrogate mother of the Roxas twins is a single parent.
“I’m very thankful for her, she’s a single parent and high school lang ang tinapos. Kami ang pumili sa kanya, pero nagustuhan ko siya because nagsimula siyang barista sa Starbucks,” he shared.
The American woman is solely supporting her child because her boyfriend left her.
“Sa kanyang kasipagan, pagtatrabaho, naging area manager siya ng Starbucks,” Mar added.
When they asked why the woman wanted to do be surrogate mother, she said that she wants to support the full education of her child.
“Maganda ang motibasyon nito. Hindi luho, she wants to provide for her daughter. So, naisip ko, agree si Korina, that will make sure that she will take care [of the babies] dahil yun ang motibasyon niya,” the senatorial candidate said.
The couple also shared that they are still in touch with the surrogate mother of Pepe and Pilar. However, it has a limitation to prevent emotional attachment, based on the report.
“Sinabi namin sa kanya na, ‘We welcome you, but we understand, kung mag-text ka, sasagot kami.’ Pero kung hindi, hindi kami magpapadala ng pictures o ng kung anu-ano para hindi rin siya mahirapan,” Mar added.
