Maricel Soriano shared her experience working with Bela Padilla
Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla found an ally in the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano amid the recent issues.
To recall, Bela was a subject of some issues tjese past months. She was accused of having an “attitude problem” on the set of the Kapamilya action drama series Blood vs Duty.
Then, an issue surfaced in her friendship with actresses Angelica Panganiban and Kim Chiu. In a recent interview, Bela was asked about this, and she chose not to speak about this.
Amid the issues, based on the article in Bandera, Maricel Soriano shared in an interview her experience working with Bela Padilla.
The two actresses star together in Viva Films’ latest offering, “Life After You,” directed by Marla Ancheta.
During the media conference for this project, Maricel had nothing but praise for Bela, commending her not only as a talented actress but also as a person and a colleague.
Even though their scenes in the movie were dramatic and intense, Maricel said that the experience of working with Bela and the entire production team was fun and memorable for her.
The Diamond Star said that she and Bela did nothing but chat while on set. “Ay naku! Ang bongga kasi wala kaming ginawa kundi ang magdaldalan nang magdaldalan,” the veteran actress said.
They had to do dramatic scenes but the would laugh so much. “Kasi nga masaya kami and she’s very intelligent, she’s a good actress and she’s pretty. At may ‘K’ siya. Meron siyang ‘K!” Maricel said.
The Diamond Star was reportedly aware that Bela was going through a difficult time while they were making their movie, so she would offer advice whenever she saw her looking sad.
“Very nanay ako sa kanya. Very nanay niya ako. Naintindihan ko agad. Kasi minsan, alam mo yung sinabi ng Daddy Dolphy (tatay-tatayan niya) ko noong araw, ‘Anak, huwag ka nang malungkot kasi they cannot put a good actress down,‘” the veteran actress said.
With this, Maricel Soriano said that all she could say to Bela Padilla is not to feel sad.
