Following her controversial tweet, the Songbird received criticisms from veteran journalist Ben Tulfo. Her husband OPM icon Ogie Alcasid defended her against the attack.
On the other hand, Tulfo explained that he is not hurting anyone because he is “talking with sincerity and truthfulness”.
Ogie ended this issue by accepting the explanation from the journalist.
After this, Regine Velasquez thanked her supporters for defending her. However, she said that it must stop now because the issue is getting longer.
“Hi guys, gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa pagtatanggol nyo sakin. Pero isan tabi na po natin Ito at humahaba na ng humaba…….” the Songbird wrote.
In addition, she also shared what she realized after what happened.
“I answered a tweet that for me was disrespectful to all of us but didn’t realise that I was disrespectful of him too. I’m not proud of that. But still this is about people destroying Mother EARTH. it’s the only one we have and so let us love and protect Her,” Regine said.
With this, fans of the Asia’s Songbird commended her for admitting her mistake. There were some who insisted that she just did the right thing.
