Ogie Alcasid ended his issue with Ben Tulfo
OPM icon Ogie Alcasid puts finality to his issue with veteran journalist Ben Tulfo after he defended his wife Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.
Ogie came to the rescue when Tulfo attacked Regine during a recent Facebook Live.
The journalist said that the Songbird inappropriately expressed her reaction regarding a social issue.
It can be recalled that Regine criticized the Twitter post of Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin, Jr regarding giant clams.
Apparently, the comment from the singer did not sit well with the journalist. Through social media, he expressed that Regine should focus on her career and stop involving herself to this kind of issue.
Ogie defended his wife by saying, “Sir @bitagbentulfo . I offer my cheek to you. After you have maligned my wife I ask that you focus on me. She is after all a lady. God bless you sir.”
In line with this remark from the OPM icon, the journalist reacted.
Ben Tulfo said, “I am not here to hurt anyone. I am talking with sincerity and truthfulness. this is a serious issue. Tell your wife to focus on her career. Please, not Foreign relations and issues. I do respect you and your wife.”
After receiving this reply, Ogie Alcasid ended his issue with the veteran journalist.
“Thank you for your reply and your sincere advice. I respect your view on these matters also. God bless you always,” the singer said.
This finality coming from Ogie made a netizen disappointed. “Sir Ogie, kala ko pagtanggol mo wife mo. Naniwala ka naman sa sinabi nya. Nakita mo ba yung video!? Yun baa ng may respect??! Nakaka-disappoint ka. Haay,” the netizen commented.
The singer had a meaningful reply to the netizen as he said. “When you get a little older, you shall see the wisdom. God bless.”
