Ogie Alcasid defended wife Regine Velasquez against Ben Tulfo
Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid fired back to Ben Tulfo after the latter attacked the tweet of Regine Velasquez against Teddy Locsin, Jr.
When the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary tweeted about the poaching of giant clams, the Asia’s Songbird criticized him.
Their exchange of words on social media caught the attention of many netizens who also had various point of views.
This also caught the attention of veteran journalist Ben Tulfo. During his recent Facebook Live, he attacked Regine for commenting on the issue.
For the journalist, the singer has no capability in speaking about the national issue.
“Ano bang alam nitong si Regine Velasquez other than kumanta lamang?” Ben Tulfo said.
In line with this, Ogie Alcasid defended his wife against the harsh comments from the journalist.
The OPM icon posted this on his Twitter account: “Sir @bitagbentulfo . I offer my cheek to you. After you have maligned my wife I ask that you focus on me. She is after all a lady. God bless you sir.”
Fans of the couple agreed to what he said while some advised him not to pay attention to someone like Ben Tulfo.
