For the medical condition of Rico J. Puno, in 2015, he underwent an open heart surgery and he got angioplasty two years after. Recently, he had a new pacemaker, a small device which aids the heart beat at a normal rate.

1. Proper Diet
Based on the article, one heart attack prevention is taking a proper diet as an unhealthy diet may lead to the hardening of the arteries. Foods that are saturated in fat can be the cause of it. These food including the following:

- Biscuits

2. High Blood Pressure
Another heart attack prevention move is to control your blood pressure. This can also be affected by your diet. Avoid salty food that can raise your BP which could lead to your heart and arteries being under extra strain.
3. Avoid Smoking and Alcohol
Smoking is one of the major causes of heart attack according to NHS. It raises the BP of a person and also causes the hardening of the arteries. Meanwhile, when you are a smoker and you decided to quit to prevent the risks of heart attack, it is advisable that you go for a medical check-up to be assisted.
With regards to alcohol, those people who are regularly taking a drink are also prone to high BP. Taking occasionally would be fine as long as you don’t do it 14 units a week and it must not be continuous for days.
4. Exercise
Exercise can help you lower your BP and keep your heart in shape. It will do not only serve as a heart attack prevention but as well as a way to keep your body generally fit and healthy.
