PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates About Bagyong Domeng
The state weather bureau has released the latest weather updates regarding Bagyong Domeng affecting the country’s weather system.
On Saturday (June 09, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that Tropical Storm Domeng has slightly intensified.
Domeng intensified slight and continued to strengthen the southwest monsoon or locally known as “Habagat”.
The weather disturbance would bring monsoon rains over Luzon and Western Visayas for the next two days.
PAGASA warned the resident in the affected areas to be prepared for possible flashfloods and landslides.
Bagyong Domeng was last spotted at 565 kilometers east-northeast of Basco, Batanes packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph)and gustiness of up to 105 kph moving 21 kph.
The weather agency said that there are no warning signals have been raised yet.
The tropical storm was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Sunday morning (June 10, 2018).
The weather bureau also warned the residents living near the coastal areas that sea travel remains risky.
