Cebu Pacific Plane Crash After Overlapping At The Runway Of Iloilo International Airport
Cebu Pacific plane has crashed after overlapping on airport’s runway in Iloilo International Airport carrying about 180 passengers.
On Friday (October 13, 2017), an aircraft of Cebu Pacific with a flight number 5J461 after it overshoots at the runway of Iloilo International Airport around 11:15 pm. The plane came from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The airline issued a statement saying that an emergency evacuation has been initiated by the airport crew ensuring the safety of all the passengers. The statement also said that the passengers were attended by the airport personnel.
Loui Latoza, one of the aircraft passengers said that the plane failed to stop after landing at the airport in Iloilo.
“Yung pilot nag-advise na mag-prepare for landing. Nagulat lang kami lahat kasi parang ang lakas ng bagsak namin. It was a very unusual landing kasi sunod sunod na parang dumaan ka sa rough road hanggang sa masubsob na kami nang biglang preno,” said by Latoza quoted by ABS-CBN.
Latoza said that all of the aircraft passengers remain inside the plane for at least 20 minutes waiting for airport’s personnel’s assistance. She also explained that the airport crew was able to rescue all the passengers prioritizing the children and the elderly.
