Anne Curtis Responds to Netizen Who Took a Jab at Her Face
ANNE CURTIS – A seemingly simple post about Anne Curtis’ appearance quickly sparked a heated exchange online after the actress decided to respond.
“It’s Showtime” host Anne Curtis did not let a netizen’s comment about her appearance go unanswered after the latter publicly pointed out the natural skin texture on her face.
On Monday, September 21, a netizen posted on X and shared a screenshot taken from a video clip featuring Anne. The image appeared to highlight the visible texture of the actress and television host’s skin.

“Retokada yarn? Exhibit A – anak ” stated in the caption.
Anne eventually noticed the post and directly responded to the criticism. Rather than ignoring the remark, she clarified that she has not undergone cosmetic procedures to alter her appearance and expressed confidence in both herself and her daughter.
“Can proudly say I’m not retokada at all and for me, for me lang naman, my daughter and I are both beautiful. I usually don’t give people like you the time of the day but wala lang.”
The actress continued her response by addressing what she believed could be behind the netizen’s hostility. Despite being targeted over her appearance, Anne chose to end her message with kindness instead of escalating the exchange.
“I don’t know who hurt you or why you’re so angry with me but nonetheless sending you some kindness maybe you some in your life. Big virtual hug I mean that, sincerely. Good night!” Anne added.

Anne’s response also drew support from several social media users, many of whom criticized the original poster for publicly mocking the actress.
Among the comments were:
“imagine saying this online na you can’t even show your face.”
“Nyeta ka …. eh yun pinost mong pic ni Anne, mas maganda pa din sa nakakarami. Walang ipapangit ang nagiisang Diyosa!”
“KAPAL MO.. HAHAHAAHAH”
“Hoy Baho! ayan napansin ka na! Ang lalaa ng inggit mo no? May engagement na mag skin care ka”
“atleast maganda padin kahit malakas ang lights,eh ikaw kaya siguro wala pang lights mukha ka ng ingrown or mukha kang pigsa na mabaho”
“Grbe ung generation ngyn pti bata tsk tsk”
The incident comes after Anne’s fellow “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda was also targeted by online users following her appearance at the Preview Ball 2026.
Anne’s response has since become another example of how celebrities can face intense scrutiny over their physical appearance on social media.
