Amid the massive corruption issues in the Philippines and the countless criticisms that he’s getting from many people and his detractors, Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains in his pursuit of ending the “food hunger” problems in the country.

Previously, amid the soaring prices of oil in the Philippines, Marcos Jr. claimed that he hopes to end hunger in the country by 2028. Then, he stressed that the government cannot control the oil prices but it can do something with regards to the food costs in the country.
Ngunit sa presyo ng pagkain, ‘yun mayroon tayong magagawa,” he said.

The statement of Pres. Bongbong Marcos then came amid the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to some of the countries that lead the international oil flow. The said situation resulted to a series of oil price hikes in the Philippines which greatly affected countless Filipinos.
According to the President, it is his dream that when he would step down from the presidency in 2028, there will be no more hungry Filipino. In line with the aim of the Chief Executive, the government launched the “Walang Gutom Program”.

“Good afternoon.
According to Pres. Bongbong Marcos, the people can keep coming back and there is a system observed. They have to register so they can have an ID. He claimed that it is to identify who’s really battling hunger. He also thanked all those who donate food to the program.
Marcos Jr. said the next Walang Gutom program will be launched in Zamboanga. Based on the post, the President vowed that the government will continue to expand the program.
Currently, the government is faced with a lot of issues.
