On June 11, 2026, three minors were brought to Police Station 1 (PS1) after they were found carrying tools commonly used for cutting metal during a power outage in Puerto Princesa City.

The team approached the minors and observed that one of them was carrying a pair of pliers. Upon further inspection, authorities also found a hacksaw intended for cutting metal. The discovery raised concerns, prompting officers to question the group about the purpose of the tools.

The minors reportedly explained that they planned to use the equipment to collect wire. To verify their statement, the anti-crime team asked them to point out the location where the wire was supposedly located.

However, when authorities checked the area identified by the minors, they did not find any wire or materials matching their explanation.
