Joaquin Arce is joining the industry with strong support and the solid mentorship and guidance of Angel Locsin.
Businessman Neil Arce is the husband of Angel Locsin. This makes her the stepmother of Joaquin Arce, one of the well-loved celebrity housemates in the latest edition of Pinoy Big Brother, which just concluded a few months ago.
As his stepmother, the multi-awarded actress is accordingly helpful and entirely supportive of him joining the industry where she is well-recognized.
During his interview on “Oh My Gan,” Joaquin shared that, ultimately, the decision to join the entertainment industry is his own. He has his father to give him valuable pieces of advice, but joining is entirely his own choice.
He also talked about his “Tita Angel,” and shared that they have a great relationship. While she is his stepmother, they treat each other like friends, but without losing the motherly and fatherly aspects.
His Tita Angel is one of the sweetest people he knows and one of the most humble as well. Joaquin said, “If you get to know Tita Angel, magugulat ka talaga how humble and how sweet she is as a person.”
He also treats her as his mentor because he really admires most of her works as an actress.
“More of mentor siya sa akin in the acting aspect. Tinuturuan niya ako paano umarte nang maayos, nang magaling,” he added.
Meanwhile, during his stay inside the house, Angel showed her full support for him by breaking her social media hiatus. She even defended him when he was tagged as a nepo baby because of the actress and his father, who is also a producer.
