Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza caught the attention of the online community because of her speech as a loser in Eat Bulaga‘s Lenten Special Awards ceremony.
Every Holy Week, it has been a tradition of the longest-running noontime show to share inspiring stories. The hosts, along with some guests would showcase their acting prowess. This year, Maine was part of the production alongside her co-hosts, Paolo Ballesteros and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
Their special guest in the episode was veteran actress Helen Gamboa, the wife of Sen. Tito Sotto, who is also one of the show’s pioneer hosts.

On April 11, Eat Bulaga held an awarding ceremony for the Lenten Special. When the category Best Cry Baby Acting Award was announced, Maine jokingly acted that the award would be given to her, but the winner was actually Karen Eistrup.
