Donny Pangilinan and Father To Roll Back Diesel Prices By P3/L In Their Gasoline Station

Amid the crisis, Donny Pangilinan and Anthony Pangilinan decided to do this to help the community.

Domestic oil prices will rise by a double-digit figure again, and to help those in need, Donny Pangilinan and Anthony Pangilinan decided to do this.

Motorists will see another double-digit increase in diesel prices this week due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Oil prices may rise as much as PHP 23.90 per liter this week. For gasoline products, the increase will be PHP 12.90 to PHP 16.60 per liter; for diesel, PHP 20.40 to PHP 23.90 per liter; and for kerosene, PHP 6.90 to PHP 8.90 per liter.

Oil Price Hike

Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon Garin said that five fuel companies have committed to staggered increases, namely Shell Pilipinas, Total, Seaoil, Petron, and Flying V.

She also assured the public that the country’s domestic fuel supply is sufficient until the end of April and may even extend into May if energy conservation measures are followed.

Garin added that while some countries have limited their fuel exports to other regions, the Philippines is currently coordinating with existing suppliers such as South Korea, Japan, and Thailand to secure additional supply.

The continuous surge in fuel prices is a burden to many people, and as an initiative to help the people in their own little way, Shell South Forbes owners Donny Pangilinan and Anthony Pangilinan decided to give a rollback to their products by PHP 3 per liter. This is to help lessen the impact of the seemingly never-ending increases due to the war.

Branch co-owner Anthony Pangilinan, said in a post, “Assessed fuel prices and its effect on our business, but more importantly, our community. Our partner (yes, my son!) suggested a move that didn’t make sense ‘numbers-wise’ but was 100% in sync with our mission: support those who need it most in the community.”

This will start on March 17, and they will keep it running as long as they are able to.
