Former Architecture Student Who Shifted to Nursing After Mother’s Stroke Breaks Down in Tears After Passing Board Exams
An architecture student decided to change his course to nursing after his mother had a stroke, and he later became emotional after successfully passing the nursing board exam.
Recently, Itsurjustten, a TikTok user, shared his emotional reaction after seeing the results of the Nursing board exam. The post quickly went viral and received various reactions from the online community.
In the video, Justine Kenneth Imperial, a graduate from Isabela, could be seen embracing his grandmother, Gloria, after learning that he had successfully passed the exam.

Imperial originally studied architecture. However, his plans changed after his grandmother suffered a stroke and was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. During that time, the family did not have anyone with medical knowledge who could help them better understand her condition or guide them in caring for her.
The experience pushedJustine to reconsider his career path. Wanting to support his family and understand more about health and caregiving, he made the difficult decision to shift from architecture to nursing.
Changing his dream was not easy, but he stayed determined to complete his new goal. Throughout his studies, he became someone his family could rely on during health concerns. He helped watch over relatives who were hospitalized and assisted in making important medical decisions for the family whenever needed.
@itsurjustten Thank you Lord😭 Shifted from architecture to nursing. 🩺🤍 I love you Mommy and Fam♥️ #PNLEFEB2026 #Top1PerformingSchool #PNLE #StPaulUniversityPhilippines #sjtacethePNLE ♬ Minh Piano Official Dina Muli – Thầy Minh Piano
His hard work eventually paid off when he graduated with honors from Saint Paul University Philippines, a school recognized as a top performing institution in the February 2026 nursing licensure examination.
For Justine, earning the title of Registered Nurse means more than just personal success. It represents years of sacrifice, love for family, and the hope that he can provide better care for those closest to him.
In another post, a nurse criticized after taking standing patient’s blood pressure while sitting down
