List of Lawmakers Who Voted ‘Yes’ For the Reimposition of the Death Penalty in the Philippines.
LAWMAKERS – 217 members of the House of Representatives voted for the death penalty to be reimposed while 54 voted against the House Bill 4727.
Based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, in a session held yesterday at the House of Representatives, 217 voted for the passing of the House Bill 4727 while 54 voted against it.

According to the report, with 217 lawmakers voting for the House Bill 4727, the bill was approved on the final reading.
Meanwhile, 2nd District Rep. Rodrigo Abellanosa of Cebu City abstained from voting.
Everyone has his or her own view regarding the reimposition of the death penalty. Based on a previous news report, for Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Philippines President Archbishop Socrates Villegas, it is a “lazy form of penalty”.
