LTO Issues Show Cause Order vs Vlogger After Filming Herself While Driving
The Land Transportation Office has ordered a female vlogger to explain after filming herself while driving.
The agency has issued a Show Cause Order against the registered owner of a white Mazda sedan, and its assigned driver after a video went viral online.
The video, which was posted in the Facebook group The VISOR Community, showed a woman driving while using a video device to record herself. The video quickly spread on social media and caught the attention of authorities.

Under the leadership of LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, the agency began an investigation. As part of this process, both the vehicle’s registered owner and the designated driver were ordered to appear before the Office of Intelligence and Investigation Division.
They were instructed to submit a sworn explanation along with original documents to answer possible violations.
The LTO said the case may involve distracted driving, reckless driving, compulsory registration of a motor vehicle, and being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

During the scheduled hearing, if the identity of the assigned driver is confirmed, the driver’s license will be placed under preventive suspension for 90 days while the investigation continues. The vehicle will also be placed under alarm status.
The assigned driver has been directed to surrender the driver’s license on the day of the hearing.
Authorities explained that failure to appear or submit a written explanation will mean giving up the right to be heard. If that happens, the case will be decided based on the evidence already gathered. Both parties are allowed to seek help from legal counsel.
The LTO stressed that road safety remains a top priority. The agency continues to remind motorists to follow traffic laws and avoid actions that may put lives at risk.
