Ashley Ortega Admits Shuvee Etrata Is Messy & Here’s What Happened Next
SHUVEE ETRATA – Ashley Ortega had fans laughing after she candidly revealed what it’s really like living with best friend Shuvee Etrata.
Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega left many viewers amused after candidly sharing amusing revelations about her best friend and real-life housemate, Shuvee Etrata. During her guest appearance on the “Your Honor” video podcast hosted by Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar, Ashley openly talked about their life together under one roof — and did not hold back when describing Shuvee’s messy habits.
For those unaware, Ashley and Shuvee have been real-life housemates since last year after moving into a newer and slightly bigger home. In the podcast segment titled “In Aid of Adulting: Signs na Hindi ka na Bata. Shookt si Ashley Ortega,” the actress opened up about their evolving dynamics as busy young professionals managing a household on their own.
According to Ashley, life as housemates has not always been easy, especially since both of them have been extremely busy over the past few years. They also do not have a helper or housemaid, which means they personally handle all household responsibilities.
“Siguro naging busy lang kami ni Shuvee, wala kasi kaming helper. Kaya nga sometimes, gusto ko na lang na sana may cook, pero wala.
“Hindi na rin namin naluluto lahat ng pagkain, parang on the go talaga, kasi kami lagi. So ‘yun ‘yung mahirap, I’m still in the process na to figure things out na ‘yung sa food,” Ashley initially shared.
Chariz then asked her, “Yung paglilinis ng bahay. Paano toka n’yo ni Shuvee?”
“Actually, ‘yan I clean my own underwear, bra. ‘Yung laundry, may laundry na malapit. Ako, naglilinis ako. Si Shuvee love ko si Shuvee, tanggap ko na talaga na burara siya at makalat siyang tao,” Ashley laughingly revealed, referring to her former “PBB Celebrity Collab Edition” season 1 co-housemate.
“Hindi, totoo talaga! Du’n kami nag-aaway,” she added, prompting laughter from Chariz and Buboy.
She further recalled, “Nagkaroon na kami ng one major fight, nu’ng nandu’n pa lang kami sa San Juan nu’ng nasa condo kami, hindi kami nag-aaway du’n, e.
“Parang, three BR (bedroom) yun. Isang room sa kanya, isang room sa akin, tapos isang room ginawa namin walk-in closet.
“Ito ‘yung pa before pa ng PBB, nu’ng after PBB kasi nagtuluy-tuloy ‘yung work namin. Tapos, parang bigla na lang dumami (mga gamit), ‘yung condo namin parang naging warehouse ganu’n,” she said.
Because of the growing clutter and their demanding schedules, they eventually decided to move.
“Tapos, wala pa kaming helper tapos umuuwi kami madaling araw, so, tambak na lang ‘yung mga gamit.
“Tapos, sabi ko, ‘Shocks! I can’t have a peaceful moment if uuwi ako ng bahay tapos parang bodega.’ So, sabi ko babe (Shuvee) let’s transfer into a new place.
“And then ‘yun nga, may kaniya-kaniyang floor na kami. So sabi ko sa floor niya, magkalat siya dun ng lahat ng kalat.
“Hindi ko siya pakikialaman, kaya siya du’n sa pinakataas actually para hindi ko makita ‘yung mga kalat niya. Pero make sure sa living and sa dining malinis,” Ashley laughingly shared.
Despite the playful “paglalaglag,” it is clear that their strong friendship remains intact, proving that even messy habits cannot break their bond.
