Paolo PH Update – Several Areas Still Under Signal No. 1 and 2

Here’s the update about Paolo PH and the tropical cyclone wind signals still in effect.

PAOLO PH – PAGASA released an update about the severe tropical storm and the areas that are still under Signal No. 1 and 2.

Severe Tropical Storm Paolo, based on the latest from PAGASA, has slightly decelerated while still maintaining its strength, moving west northwestward at 25 km/h. It has maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 135 km/h, and a central pressure of 985 hPa.

At 10 PM, the location of its center was at 160 km West Northwest of Bacnotan, La Union or 150 km West Southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur (17.5°N, 119.1°E).

    • Ilocos Sur, the western portion of Abra (Manabo, Pidigan, Tayum, Langiden, Luba, Danglas, Villaviciosa, La Paz, Pilar, Peñarrubia, San Isidro, San Quintin, Dolores, Bangued, Bucay, Tubo), the northern portion of La Union (Luna, Santol, City of San Fernando, San Juan, Bagulin, Bangar, San Gabriel, Bacnotan, Sudipen, Balaoan), and the northwestern portion of Pangasinan (Anda, Bolinao, Bani)

Based on the weather forecast, Paolo will continue to move west northwestward and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow morning, October 4. It will re-intensify into a typhoon as it moves over the West Philippine Sea within the next 12 hours.
