A British citizen criticized this skit of Vice Ganda
Unkabogable star Vice Ganda received this open letter from British citizen Malcolm Conlan because of his joke about former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Vice, who is a vocal supporter of former Vice President Leni Robredo, had a two-day concert with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez at the Araneta Coliseum on August 8 and 9. In one of the skits they did, Vice featured his version of the viral Jet 2 Holiday.
His version was apparently about the former President, who is now being detained in the Hague.

“Nothing beats a jet ski holiday! ride now from Manila to West Philippine Sea by jet ski. Get unlimited water bombing from Chinese vessels and free trip to the Hague by the ICC. Promo applies to DDS only; pinklawan and BBMs are prohibited. ‘Wag niyo kong subukan, mga put*ng ina niyo!” Vice Ganda said on stage.
This garnered polarizing reactions from the online community. Some netizens rallied behind him, while some supporters of PRRD openly criticized him, just like what Malcolm Conlan did.
In a lengthy Facebook post, the British Citizen, who has a Filipina wife, said that he watched Vice’s projects and even supported Kapamilya shows. He also pointed out that, as much as possible, he avoids commenting on politics and culture.

However. Malcolm said that Vice’s skit in his concert was something worthy of being called out. The British citizen stressed that PRRD’s relationship with the Chinese President was beneficial for both parties. He even asked Vice if he could fight against China if a war were to occur.
Malcolm also mentioned that it was inappropriate for Vice to joke about PRRD’s current situation. For him, it was a form of disrespect for the former President of the Philippines. “Right now, the former president who is still highly respected by SO many Filipinos is facing a legal process, and I believe it was highly inappropriate for you to make fun of him over this and mock him and his supporters too,” he added.
Then, the British citizen said that he hopes Vice Ganda will apologize for this behavior on stage, which, for him, was offensive. “It was in poor taste,” Malcolm Conlan said.
