PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area inside PAR will bring over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (July 1, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will bring rain over parts of the country.
Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that a low-pressure area inside the country’s vicinity has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

“We expect that the chance of it developing into a tropical depression today remains quite low. It is still classified as having a medium chance. This means that within the next 24 hours, the likelihood of it becoming a tropical depression is still small, but over the next few days, the possibility is increasing,” Badrina said.
The LPA was last spotted 650 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon. The LPA’s trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Visayas, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the rest of Central Luzon and CALABARZON.
The southwest monsoon will bring similar weather conditions over parts of Central Luzon, including Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, and Metro Manila.

Generally hot weather with a lower chance of rain is expected over the rest of Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring a lower chance of rain over the rest of Mindanao.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Northern and Central Luzon, as well as the remaining parts of the country, will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
