Is it true that Sarah Lahbati is now in a relationship with a politician?
Rumor has it that actress Sarah Lahbati and newly elected Tacloban City Councilor Martin “Marty” Romualdez, Jr. are now a couple.
Marty is the son of House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez. After the 2025 elections last May, Marty was proclaimed as one of the councilors of the city, which is nicknamed the Home of the Happiest People in the World.
It is known to many showbiz fans that Sarah confirmed her breakup with her estranged husband Richard Gutierrez in March last year. This came months after speculations surfaced about the status of their relationship. Richard is now in a relationship with actress Barbie Imperial.
Sarah Lahbati’s alleged current relationship status was the topic of Pang-Masa entertainment writer Salve Asis in her recent article. The showbiz writer shared that her “reliable source” said that the actress is very lucky to have Councilor Marty as her boyfriend.
“Ayon sa isang reliable source, ang suwerte ni Sarah dahil matalino, guwapo at mayaman si Cong. Marty na nag-aral sa Amerika na dating konsehal sa Tacloban,” Asis shared.
The entertainment writer also shared that the rumored couple is not yet open to sharing about their relationship in public.
To recall, Sarah was linked to a mystery man she was with in Hong Kong. They were photographed together at a restaurant. However, the actress clarified that the guy she was with at that time was just a friend.
Meanwhile, Richard Gutierrez confirmed in an interview last January that he and Sarah Lahbati have started processing their annulment. The former couple also shared in previous interviews that they have a good co-parenting relationship for their sons Kai and Zion.
As of this writing, Sarah and Councilor Marty haven’t spoken yet about their rumored relationship.
