Robin Padilla: “Sa 2028, campaign manager ako ni Inday Sara Duterte at ni Imee Marcos”

ROBIN PADILLA – The Senator raised the tandem of Vice President Sara Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos saying he will be their campaign manager in 2028.

Following the 2025 Midterm Elections wherein she clinched the 12th spot in the Senatorial Race, Sen. Imee Marcos joined Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and her mother, Elizabeth Zimmerman, in The Hague. Sen. Imee Marcos even met with former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s lawyer, Nicholas Kaufman. However, the International Criminal Court did not allow the Senator to visit the former President.

Recently, Sen. Imee Marcos also joined Vice Pres. Sara Duterte in attending the Philippine Independence Day celebration with the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Sen. Robin Padilla, another known Duterte ally, also joined the celebration.

At the event, Sen. Imee Marcos even revealed why she and Sen. Padilla did not wear their impeachment robes when they took their oath as senator judges in the impeachment trial of Vice Pres. Duterte. She did not hesitate to call the impeachment robe “ugly” and the color is not her type.

At the event, the action star-turned-Senator also spoke before the Filipino community in Kuala Lumpur. Sen. Robin Padilla even drew cheers from the audience when he called Vice Pres. Sara Duterte the “next president in the Philippines”.

Sen. Robin Padilla also raised the tandem of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos as per a video clip posted by News5 on YouTube. According to the action star-turned-Senator, he will be the campaign manager of the Sara-Imee tandem and their senatorial slate.

“Si Robin Padilla hindi pulitiko. Si Robin Padilla, sa 2028, campaign manager ako ni Inday Sara Duterte at ni Imee Marcos at siyempre ang mga senador nila, Doc Mata, Jimmy Bondoc, Atty. Hinlo, at kung sino pa ang pipiliin nila,” Padilla said.

Based on the video, Padilla made an early campaigning for Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Sen. Imee Marcos. According to him, it is the last chance of the Filipinos and he hopes that the audience will campaign for the two (2) politicians to their families in the Philippines.

“Tandaan niyo po. Ito na ‘yung huli nating pagkakataon. Sana ‘yung mga kamag-anak natin sa Pilipinas, kakausapin niyo sila… Dadating ang panahon na kayo ay muling susulat sa inyong mga balota at pagdating ng araw na iyan, tandaan po ninyo, yung hope, yung pag-asa. Hindi pwede pong pulitika kaya kami galit na galit ni Senador Imee sa Senado kasi puro pulitika. Isantabi na natin ang pulitika… Tayo nakakulong tayo sa pulitika,” he said.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has yet to confirm if she is running for president in the 2028 Elections. Following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, many people including the former President believes that the arrest could lead to the presidency of Inday Sara anytime now or in the future.

Previously, Sen. Imee Marcos confirmed that she will join the “Duterte bloc” in the Senate.
