Sen. Imee Marcos Wins 12th Spot in 2025 Senatorial Race
IMEE MARCOS – The reelected Senator confirmed that she will join the “Duterte bloc” in the Senate when the 20th Congress opens.
Six (6) candidates endorsed by the Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago of Pres. Bongbong Marcos won in the 2025 Senatorial Elections. Five (5) senatorial bets of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte won in the election. The Commission on Elections or COMELEC proclaimed the winners of the 2025 Senatorial Election a week ago.

Sen. Imee Marcos is the 12th place in the Senate Magic 12 after garnering 13,339,227 votes. She was initially endorsed by the Alyansa of Pres. Bongbong Marcos but she left the team after the controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She led a Senate investigation on the arrest of Duterte.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte campaigned for Sen. Imee Marcos saying she’s different from Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to the Vice President, the Senator thinks for solutions to the problems.

Last Saturday, the Commission on Elections proclaimed the Senate Magic 12. Sen. Marcos was accompanied by her mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and her sons. Here are the Top 12 of the 2025 Elections:

- Aquino, Bam — 20,971,899 votes
- Dela Rosa, Ronald “Bato” — 20,773,946 votes

- Marcoleta, Rodante — 15,250,723 votes
- Lacson, Ping — 15,106,111 votes
- Sotto, Tito — 14,832,996 votes
- Cayetano, Pia — 14,573,430 votes
- Villar, Camille — 13,651,274 votes
- Lapid, Lito — 13,394,102 votes
- Marcos, Imee — 13,339,227 votes
During the Proclamation Ceremony, Sen. Marcos wore the barong of her late father, former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr. However, Sen. Marcos made no mention of her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, and acknowledged former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte instead.

Recently, Sen. Imee Marcos confirmed that she will join the “Duterte bloc” in the 20th Congress. Based on a report on Inquirer, the 20th Congress will open in July.
Sen. Imee Marcos also claimed that there are some senators who want her to vie for the Senate presidency. The presidential sister did not disclose her response.
