PAGASA Says Easterlies and ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition

On Saturday (June 14, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and ITCZ will affect the country’s weather condition.

The easterlies will bring same weather conditions are expected in Batanes and Cagayan.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country. Sudden rain showers are expected in Palawan and the rest of the Visayas.
“There will be some heat in the weather conditions we will experience in the late morning, but in the afternoon and evening, the chances of sudden rain showers and thunderstorms are higher due to the easterlies,” Castañeda said.

No low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones are being monitored within the Philippine area of responsibility.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
