Four provinces were placed under public storm warning signal number 5 after Typhoon Lawin has intensified into a supertyphoon as it approached Northern Luzon where it will make its landfall on late Wednesday evening.
“#LawinPH” intensified into a supertyphoon and maintains its serious threat as it moves closer to Cagayan-Isabela Area”, said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) in its official Tweeter account.
Four provinces placed under public storm warning signal number 5 because of Lawin, with international name Haima, are Cagayan, Isabela, Kalinga and Apayao.
Meanwhile, more provinces were placed under signal number 4 including Ilocos Norte, Abra, Ilocos Sur, Mt. Province, Ifugao and Calayan group of islands.
