Philippine Typhoons: 6 Cyclones Ripped PH In Less Than A Month

These are the six Philippine typhoons that hit the country.

PHILIPPINE TYPHOONS – One after another, these are the cyclones that battered the country in less than a month.

In the past four weeks, the Philippines suffered the effects of a series of cyclones that hit the country. One after another, the Philippines reeled, and each cyclone brought widespread heavy rain and strong winds.

Counting from October 21 to the present, these are the cyclones that damaged lives and properties and forced thousands of people to evacuate their homes:

  • SEVERE TROPICAL STORM KRISTINE (TRAMI)
    Kristine entered the Philippine area of responsibility on October 20 mainly affecting the Bicol region. It made a landfall in Isabella and over 3.3 million people were affected. It exited PAR in October 2025.
  • SUPER TYPHOON LEON (KONG-REY)
    Less than a day after Kristine left, Leon entered PAR and rapidly intensified. By October 30, it became a super typhoon, and Signal No. 5 was raised over Batanes. The combined effects of Kristine and Leon left 150 deaths with several still missing.
  • TYPHOON MARCE (YINXING)
    On November 4, Marce entered PAR, the 13th overall cyclone in the Philippines and it intensified rapidly. It made landfall in Santa Ana, Cagayan, and left the Philippines on November 8. It wreaked havoc in Northern Luzon.
  • TYPHOON NIKA (TORAJI)
    Shortly after Marce’s exit, Nika came on November 9. This is the typhoon that made landfall in Dilasag, Aurora, but before the landfall, 2,500 villages were evacuated. Nika recorded no casualties. It left PAR on November 12.
  • TYPHOON OFEL (USAGI)
    Before Nika exited, Ofel entered PAR and in the next few days, it became a super typhoon. It made landfall in Baggao, Cagayan. According to the forecast track, it remained inside PAR until November 18.
  • SUPER TYPHOON PEPITO
    This is the sixth typhoon to hit the Philippines in a month. It already ripped through Cantanduanes causing uprooted trees, damaged properties and buildings, and pulled down power lines. It is now outside PAR and no Wind Signals are hoisted at this time.
